I’ve neglected all my recent projects, including this blog. It’s not like I DON’T have enough to ramble on and on about. Anyway. :/

Most of my friends know I’d been desiring a Nintendo Wii since I got my hands on it back during E3. With my best friend in tow, we “camped” out at Target 5am on launch day, November 19. We were 11th and 12th in line and the store had 33 Wiis, so we were golden.

And yes, it was FUCKING cold at 40 degrees. The one blanket I brought for both of us was better than nothing.

Everyone was pretty nice. Someone’s wife brought fresh donuts and sodas for everyone around 6. There were a couple dedicated grannies in front of us too…what troopers. Best grannies ever. One of them had their husband sitting in the car to bring her kleenex, gloves and coffee.

Luckily the employees came out at 7 instead of 7:30 to hand out our tickets. Once they were given, we were free to go and the consoles were ours until noon. Of course, that didn’t guarantee that you’d get the games you wanted so everyone returned promptly at 7:55. :p We killed time at Starbucks with coffee and hot cider.

Anyway, I picked up only Zelda: Twilight Princess that day. I must say the controller works VERY well! The game is fantastic.

ADDY hell is pretty much over. The gala was a success, and my co-chair and I received lots of kudos. After months of madness, everything just came together… I had a great time, don’t get me wrong but after three years of being deeply involved, I need a break.

I won my first gold that night.

Very, very nifty.

but I’m finally updating. Been way too distracted lately to bother even checking this blog, let alone update it. My craptastic sidebar’s still broken, and my profile and portfolio are nonexistant. :p

I will attempt to summarize the past few months:

• Pooky has somehow managed to forget ‘lie down’ and no matter how many times I retrain her, the silly brat can’t do it any more.
• I ::just:: returned home yesterday from a week in Austin to visit a very, very good friend. I had a wonderful time. I won’t hesitate to say that I didn’t want to come home.
• I drove my beloved bug all the way down to Port St. Lucie — a 12 hour drive — after driving to Savannah (6 hour drive) the previous weekend. I must’ve put in over a month’s worth of mileage on my baby…I couldn’t sleep for days.
• I miss my friends so much…sometimes I wish I were still in school, just so I could live down the street from them.
• My fiancee finally got a new job that’s 10 minutes from home, and twice the pay. I can finally stop using my savings to cover his gas and bills. Whoo hoo…
• I’m one of the co-chairs for our ad club’s ADDY Awards. This event will continue to monopolize my time until the end of February. :p
• I <3 my job.
• I <3 one of my new coworkers. She’s such a hoot…so wonderfully southern and blunt. It’s been very refreshing to hang out with her…weekday lunches are very entertaining these days.
• I just discovered I can spend hours and hours rolling up balls of crap. Katamari Damacy is so addictive…

Doesn’t sound very exciting :p, but these past few months have been really life changing, more than I can say here. Maybe I’ll update again in the next couple weeks. Maybe not. :p

I’m one big, splotchy mess. Really bad allergic reaction to god knows what, and I’m covered head-to-toe with hives. I had to leave work early to head to the emergency room. Doctor prescribed some steroids and cortisone lotion in addition to antihistamines so hopefully all will be calm over the weekend. :p I’m fine now, though I can’t fight it…..must…..scratch……..

I miss my mom. Even though I typically see her once every few months when she’s a few hours away, it feels different with her being in Korea, especially since I can’t call her. Three more weeks until she returns. :/

On the bright side (:p) all is good at work, with the ad club, Johnnier, and Her Highness — Tuxie (very important). I’m working on getting Gallery 2 installed and working…I have tons of photos to upload.

Apple’s “One More Thing” event has come and passed with the announcement of the new iPod with video. Dammit. My 3G iPod’s my second child (after Tuxie, of course) but that black one is gorgeous. Lots of cons though, including lack of FireWire support, no included power adaptor!! and 2 hours of battery life when viewing video. Geez. At least battery life is considerably better than my 3G when in pure music mode :p 14 > 7 hours. Everyone else is getting new toys! :p Mike just got a nano this week…I can’t wait to see it this weekend.

Music: I can’t stop listening to The Dandy Warhols and Keane — Brit rock group relatively unknown here. I could listen to Bedshaped all day long…

Been a hell of a month…will be glad when it’s over. It’ll stop being hot as hell next month, and I’ll have Halloween to look forward to.

It’s been a pretty uneventful month, with the exception of the incredible white-water rafting trip I went on during Labor Day weekend and failed to mention earlier.

Went to the Braves vs Marlins game over the weekend in ATL…Johnnier’s company offered the tickets and gave us a ride to ATL to boot. I’m not much of a baseball fan, but it was a pretty exciting game. I was my usual shy self around his coworkers, but they were nice enough. One of them even had a DS with Nintendogs, so we introduced our pups. :p

I visit this site at least half a dozen times a day, because she usually updates with SO many goodies: designsponge

She’s fun as hell to drive…so smooth and zippy. No flower bud vase yet they’re giving me one this weekend.

Mileage: so far, so good. Much more fuel efficient than my old Corsica.
